Effective 24 October 2026
Privacy policy
Instarise (“we”) lists your product on online directories for you: we write the listing from your website, create the directory accounts your product needs, and submit it. This policy covers this website, the waitlist and the submission service, including the optional Gmail connection.
What we collect
- Waitlist. Your email address and the time you joined.
- Your product. The website address you give us, what we read from that public page, the listing copy we write from it, your logo and screenshots, and details you choose to add, such as a revenue band.
- Directory accounts. The email address and generated password of each account we create on a directory for your product.
- Submission records. For each directory: when we submitted, what happened, and the listing link.
- Google user data, only if you connect Gmail. See the next section.
How we use Google user data
Most directories confirm a new account by emailing a link or a 6-digit code to the address that signed up. When your product signs up with your Gmail address, you can connect Gmail so we can finish those confirmations without asking you to forward each email.
Access we ask for
One permission: read your Gmail messages
(https://www.googleapis.com/auth/gmail.readonly). It is read-only: we cannot send, delete, label or
change any of your mail.
What we read
- We only search your mailbox while a submission is running, and only for messages from the domain of the directory being submitted to that arrived after that submission started. Each search returns at most five messages.
- From those messages we read the text to find the verification link, sign-in link or 6-digit code the directory sent.
- We do not read, search or keep any other mail.
How we use it
- We open the verification or sign-in link in the browser that submits your product, or type the code into the directory’s form. That is the only use.
- The 6-digit code is passed to the AI model that fills in directory forms (Claude, from Anthropic) so it can type it. Links are opened directly and are not sent to the model. No message bodies, subjects or other mail are sent to any AI model.
- We do not use Google user data for advertising, sell it, or use it to train or improve any AI or machine learning model, ours or anyone else’s.
- No person at Instarise reads your email, except with your explicit permission for a specific message (for example, when you ask us to look into a failed confirmation), when needed for security, or to comply with the law.
What we store
- The access token Google gives us, so we can search for confirmation emails while your submissions run. Access to it is limited to the service and the people who run it.
- We do not store your emails. The link or code we used can appear in that submission’s log, which we keep to show you what happened.
Removing access
You can remove our access at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions. Ask us and we delete the stored token as well.
Instarise’s use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
How we use everything else
- Your waitlist email: to tell you when your spot opens. One email; no newsletter.
- Your product details and listing copy: to fill in directory forms. The directories you are submitted to publish what their forms ask for, such as your product’s name, description, logo and website.
- Directory accounts and submission records: to submit, follow up, and send you your report.
Who else handles your data
- Anthropic runs the AI model that writes listing copy from your public website and fills in directory forms. It receives your product details and, during sign-in, the 6-digit codes described above.
- Google provides the Gmail API when you connect Gmail.
- The directories you are submitted to receive the listing and account details their forms ask for, under their own privacy policies.
We do not sell personal data.
How long we keep it
We keep your data while we provide the service and until you ask us to delete it. Listings already published on directories stay there under each directory’s own rules; we can tell you where they are so you can ask for removal.
Your choices
You can ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, or to delete it, and you can leave the waitlist at any time. Write to CONTACT_EMAIL.
Children
Instarise is for businesses and is not meant for anyone under 16.
